Downtown Holiday Lights Walk!


Let’s go full Clark Griswold on our beloved downtown this year, so we can make it shine extra bright during this holiday season to generate lots of foot traffic for businesses throughout North Adams, but especially for downtown.

Businesses are encouraged to hang lights and/or create a window display by Nov. 23 – the night of the City's tree lighting ceremony. The displays will run through through New Year's Day.

Interested? Register your display by Nov. 18 to be considered for the following awards: Brightest Lights, Best Window Display or Best Art Installation.

Over the last two years the NAC has offered free Business Assistance to more than 40 small businesses in the Northern Berkshires.

Emilee Reynolds, an early childhood educator, took 15 years of experience in formal education and turned it into her own business. Reynolds offers art and sensory classes, community playgroups, and creates toys that weave learning into play so simply that children don’t realize they are learning academic concepts.

Here’s what she said about her experience going through the Business Assistance program:

"Working with the NA Chamber has been a dream. I was able to reallocate money used to pay for marketing help to supplies for my business. Makayla gave me honest and real feedback in a strength based way. I know the help got me over my hesitation to utilize social media (okay, mostly Instagram) to my full advantage. I am creating a real community on Instagram and have gained 61 followers without gimmicks or giveaways in the past 30 days." -Spring 2022

To date, Miss Emilee ECE is three followers away from reaching 1,000 on Instagram.
